Personal Contact Training
Praise God Personal Contact Team!
> We had an exciting meeting tonight in which we discussed how the personal
> contact team was the next step in our stewardship campaign Striving for
> Excellence~Excelling in Giving. You are the most important committee in that
> you will have the opportunity to personally discuss the vision that we
> believe that God has given to Glenville New Life Community Church. Your
> enthusiasm and excitement about the campaign will help motivate
> members/friends to get on board and join the stewardship campaign team. We
> discussed having a script in which the persons that are making the telephone
> calls to set up visits will make. This script below is for those members of
> the personal contact team that are calling to set up the visits (Only) Those
> persons are: (Glen Hendrix, Deborah Chambers, Yvonne Sims, Andrea Billipus,
> Rafia Billups, Juanita Thomas and Evelyn Reese)
>
>
> That means that all other members will actually have the great opportunity
> to do our PIE visits to members/friends in their homes! Those members are
> (Terrence, Kacie, Cheryl, Ella, Laverne, Althea, Sandra, Andrea Pride, and
> LaTanya. If you missed the meeting and have questions please contact Sylvia
> Fields.

> B. Purpose of the campaign: This past year we had a leadership retreat
> meeting on December 4th,
2009. The purpose of this meeting was to seek God's
> Vision for our Church. There were 31 leaders present. At that meeting we
> agreed that we would have a stewardship, campaign in 2010 to make the needed
> repairs to our building and the parking lot, the churches financial
> stability, and to expand our ministry in the community. At the leadership
> retreat we also recognized that two years from now, in 2012, we will be
> celebrating 50 years of ministry at Glenville New Life Community Church. As
> such we wanted to set upon a course that would do two things; address the
> above listed items, as well as, prepare for our 50th year of celebration! As
> such, our leadership team began this year 2010, with our Theme
Excellence
> in Action. We, as a church, have been striving to serve God in Excellence in
> every way including our giving. So as apart of our Theme and our purpose, we
> beleive that God is leading us to strive for excellence in our giving.
> So we set upon a journey that was begun by Jesus Christ, to excel in every
> wary, including our giving. We pray that this journey will open new doors of
> opportunity for our church. With the success of our stewardship campaign,
> our church will have the opportunity to expand our current ministries and
> develop new ministries, all for the cause of Christ!
>
>
> C. How much money are we believing in God for? We trust in our Lord in
> Savior to guide us to raise $200,000. Our themes is "Not Equal Gifts, but
> Equal Sacrifices." We don't expect one person or a few persons to sacrifice
> all of this money. We understand that not all gifts will be equal, however,
> we expect that all sacrifices will be equal.
